A Contemporary Art Gallery

Roslyn and Courtney

Contemporary Gallery was a temporary contemporary art gallery that operated during June and July of 2008.

The Space:

A 1,886 square foot former office space located at 230 Harrison Street in Downtown Syracuse next to Komachi Restaurant, across from the Syracuse Technology Garden and down the street from the Hotel Syracuse and the Everson Museum of Art.

There was one large room, a medium room, four small rooms, plus a hallway that was used as a room and a small space for showing video art. That was a lot of wall space!

Contemporary Gallery wishes to thank J.F. Real Estate for their support.

The Vision: A temporary contemporary art gallery in Syracuse, NY experimenting with fun ideas such as the following (click on each one to go to its own page):
Exhibitions of contemporary art
Sinfully Sweet Baked Goods
Community Design Library
A Seed Fund to foster more projects like this one

  5. Hi,

I am putting together a contemporary flea market at Thornden Park on August 31st. And I am looking for etsy groups, artists, artisans in
Syracuse to get involved. Tables are free for these vendors. There will be music on stage. What I did was “googled” art groups Syracuse and your web site came up. So I am wondering if you or if you would know anyone who would be interested? The temporary url is sundaemarket.com. My site is iwilldream.com.

I look forward to hear from you.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Ben
