There are foundations that give away money for projects, but they are always funneled through a nonprofit. I’m interested in small funds to give to alliances, individuals and for-profit entities with non-profit ideas… people like us who are opening up a for-profit gallery without hopes of profiting, more to serve our community without going through the years of paperwork and politics. I’m hoping to develop a small fund through this gallery to do this for someone else. It’s our way of giving back.
Currently the fund has $50 in it (my contribution). It’s not much but with these situations a little goes a long way! Please let me know if you’d like to contribute (rile dot courtney at gmail dot com).
