Keeping Up Appearances

Painting has become a major project! White paint on walls. White paint on us. And white paint on our resident Akita pup! In the last five days, we’ve done a lot to make the space a home and it looks great!

We’ve decided to introduce some colors into the typical white walled gallery area. This was inspired by a trip to Montreal that Courtney and I took some months ago. While we’re not going all out rich red walls and black feather boas on chaise lounges, we are adding our own unique and contemporary touch. A blue-green accent wall is carefully balanced by our deep blue walled video art nook. Even the bathroom has warmed up with some raspberry flavor, which ironically was the inspiration of yesterdays day baked goods!

It is absolutely coming together! The space looks fresh and inviting, so I invite you all to come stop by! Hang out in our great big chairs, read some poetry books or investigate new design concepts. And, of course, you could always help us paint a second coat!

Having just seen the space go from blah to aahh!, I have to agree that it is worth going by and looking at the progression of the space coming alive. Good luck with snipping off the last few loose threads, you both are almost there!

    Take care, Vicky
